About Us
Sword was founded in 2017 by Saturn Return, Warden Dresden, and Weyrhawk. After much success in the Free Company (FC), the founders believed the Crystal Data Center would not be able to keep up with the needs of the FC. Thus, SWORD was split into several different FCs to create our own in-house Party Finder. After approximately 2-3 years, it appeared Crystal had recovered from the loss of players encountered during the Data Center split. Therefore, we chose to go back to our roots and become one closer knit Free Company again as it was much more manageable in the long-term.
All of the different events can be found under our Events tab above. You can also see the days and times of scheduled activities under the Calendar tab. These events are driven by a friendly community of players who are actively playing FFXIV and working to help all around. Discord is utilized to encourage FC participation and to build friendships within the SWORD community.
Our Free Company
Please inquire with anyone in Leadership if you would like to check our recruitment status. This may fluctuate from time to time depending on activity in the game. When we are openly recruiting, we invite all players from Viera to Hrothgar, Lalafell to Hyur! Drop on by The Mortal Sword to visit us at Shirogane – Ward 18 – Plot 30! We also own and operate an eatery named SWORD Café. We serve HQ tinctures & food to Raiders, Crafters, and Gatherers alike. Our members can come to enjoy a bite with a menu for leveling food as well as listen to live music. Other freebies are handed out at booths such as Fashion Report Kits, Master Crafter Book Kits, Crafting Levekits, and more!
