In need of a house or already have one but dunno how to go from there? SWORD has a lot of services and events for Housing that will help you take the next steps! But before we go straight into the best parts, let’s get into the basics for those who are curious or are new to FFXIV’s Housing Feature!
What’s required to unlock Housing?
- Class/Job Level 50
- Second Storm Lieutenant Grand Company Rank
- To purchase plots in Shirogane, you must have the Stormblood expansion and completed the main scenario quest “Not without Incident.”
Where do I go for the Quests?
- Goblet: “Where the Heart Is” by Imme – Western Thanalan ( 26.1 , 24.2 )
- Lavender Beds: “Where the Heart Is” by Margeria – Central Shroud ( 21.7 , 21.9 )
- Mist: “Where the Heart Is” by Ahctkoen – Lower La Noscea ( 31.0 , 20.0 )
- Shirogane: “I Dream of Shirogane” by Tsurubami – Kugane ( 12.0 , 10.0 )
- Firmament: Soontm +_+
Housing Notifications
Are you a poor Homeless Eorzean? On the look out for that first Small House?
Go to the #role-and-event-assignment channel in SWORD Discord and click that little Moogle emote to add yourself to the Housing Notifications role. Then whenever a Housing Sweep occurs, you will get pinged with the location of empty plots! For real-time housing notifications in-game, ask any officer to add you to the Cross-world Linkshell (SWORD Housing). Good luck on Housing Savage.
How much are the houses?
- Cottages (Small Plots): 3m – 3.75m
- Houses (Medium Plots): 16m – 20m
- Mansions (Large Plots): 40m – 50m
HOUSEWARMING KITS
Just got a new house but broke after spending 99.9% of your hard earned gil on it? We gatchu fam with our Housewarming Kit to get you started with the Basic Essentials! Simply fill out the Housewarming Kit Form and inform a Sword Officer.
Each kit will have the following goodies:

Housing Giveaways
Need new furnishing for your house or just need something to start of the decorating itch? Every month, a Housing Giveaway will be hosted for a week to let House, FC Room, and Apartment owners get a chance to win furnishing for their humble abode!
Go to the #housing_bulletin_board in SWORD Discord to read more information, simply post a screenshot of yourself and the theme requirement and your House/Room information (District, Ward Number, Plot Number, and/or Room Number) to participate in the event!

BLUE HOUSE TOURS
If you enjoy exploring the creativity of others, or showing off your own creations, then we have GOOD NEWS! We will be hosting the “BLUE HOUSE TOURS” where we lead a small band of housing enthusiasts through the homes of your fellow SWORD members. We will take time to admire others’ creative ideas and have a chance to ask the welcoming homeowners a few questions about their inspiration.
Do you like free stuff? WHO DOESN’T?! As we make our way through the tour, we will be giving away various prizes, mostly housing items, through roll-offs, trivia questions, and other fun ways! The only requirement is to have access to all housing districts.
WHEN: Every 3rd Tuesday of the month
WHERE: Refer to the FC Calendar for location
DURATION: Roughly 1hr – 1 1/2 hr
Want to submit your house, apartment, or FC room for an upcoming tour? Send a DM either in-game or Discord to the organizer of the event of your location. If you had your house decorated via commission, please state this along with your house’s location.
SWORD CAFE HOUSING BOOTH
Twice a week, the SWORD Café opens up with various Fun Activities, Booths, Music and Free Goodies to giveaway!
We also have a Housing Booth there where you can seek advice, grab a Housewarming Kit if you need one and a FREE Housing Items just for stopping by! So what are you waiting for? Check out the Housing Giveaway & Booth to learn more about this event!
FC Credit Exchange Furnishing
We also have various furnishings that we can give out for FREE via the FC Credit Exchange. As long as it’s for Private Use and NOT for selling, you can ask for a number of any of the following items:

FC WORKSHOP CRAFTS: HOUSING WALLS
Want to get the new house walls that just came out this patch? Have the materials but need the FC Workshop to craft the walls?
Simply bring the materials required and your FC will craft the Housing Walls for you! If it has not been unlocked yet at your SWORD.0, it will be relayed to the others who have the housing walls you want unlocked!
